I got a knowledge graph profile in ~1 month. It doesn’t help you directly (i.e I’m not getting traffic from it), but when a lead or prospect Googles my name they’re always invariably impressed and its led to a much higher closing rate. It’s also pretty dope to be able to add “Google me if you’d like examples” to my cold email campaigns.
Here’s how I did it.
Self-explanatory.
You can use WordPress or an alternative for this. Whatever you do isn’t really important, as long as you can configure a Schema snippet. When you do, add your social profiles from the previous step.
Then, write a biography for things you consider notable about yourself, or areas you’d like to rank for. Make it short, punchy, and use as much social proof as you can.
Here’s a directory I put together to help with this. Many of these “hidden backlinks” were sourced from @ConnorShowler on Twitter so follow him. Some include notes and a link to my profile—these my VA put together, so make sure to remove my profile.
Make sure to use the same bio that you wrote on your personal website. It’s important they all line up.
